Nation Mourns the Death of Former President Joe Biden

The United States is grieving the loss of Joseph R. Biden Jr., the 46th President, who passed away peacefully at his Wilmington, Delaware home at the age of 81. Surrounded by family, Biden’s death—believed to be from natural causes—marks the end of a political career spanning over fifty years.

Biden’s legacy is defined by resilience, empathy, and his connection to ordinary Americans. From his early years as Delaware’s U.S. Senator to his service as Vice President under Barack Obama and ultimately as President from 2021 to 2025, he guided the nation through the COVID-19 crisis, steered economic recovery, and advanced major infrastructure and climate initiatives.
